THE MONTH OF PRAYER BEGINS
 
Silent Prayer - You are invited to arrive at church early and join others for a time of silent prayer. At Holy Trinity this will occur from 10.00am near the prayer candle. At St John’s this will occur during the 9.00am service.

Prayer Requests - There is a box with paper and a pen in the foyer at both Holy Trinity and St John’s for you to leave any prayer requests.

Commit to a time of Prayer - You might like to sign up to a time of daily prayer by promising to prayer at home or with others at an agreed time. A sheet is available for you to register your commitment. Reverend Jo will be saying Morning Prayer at Holy Trinity from 9.00am most mornings.

Come and celebrate Sunday 20th November 2016 – Christ the King
Exhibition of Memorabilia from 2.00pm with afternoon tea served throughout the afternoon. Evensong with guest preacher The Right Reverend Kay Goldsworthy Bishop of Gippsland 5.00pm Christ Church Tarraville
Archive Group will meet each week on Tuesdays 3.30 – 4.30pm in the narthex of Holy Trinity commencing Tuesday 7th June.

 
 
Working Bee for Holy Trinity Saturday 18th June from 9.30am; cuppa at 11.00am
Tasks Planned – floor heating removal, fit new door handle to kitchen, install solar light, spring clean hall, tidy sideboard, clean glass doors.

This week’s challenge is: think about all living creatures that rely on the earth to survive. ‘Hear the cry of the earth.’
 
BIBLE STUDY GROUPS  - you may join a group at any time. Please get in touch with Rev. Jo who is happy to put you in touch with our study leaders and introduce you to a group.

PEW SHEET 15th May


THE BIG HYMN SING  Holy Trinity Sunday 17th July 2.00pm. This is an opportunity  to sing your favourites and enjoy a fun afternoon. Please add your selections to the list of suggested hymns in the foyer at Holy Trinity Yarram. Warren Peart & Ken White at the keyboard

Parish Council has committed to providing new Socks and Jocks for use at Yarram Secondary College. We will begin collecting these in June (next month). Socks and Jocks Sunday 31st July.

Special focus:
June - A Month of Prayer

September – A Month of Hospitality

If you have any suggestions about how we might enrich our prayer and/or hospitality please talk to any Parish Councillor.

The gradual sale of pews at Holy Trinity is being discussed with a view to replacing with chairs. If you have any questions or comments to add to the discussion please talk to a parish councillor.  We have received feedback from a few people. This is an on-going discussion. Parish Council values your comments.

Fire Wood – as you collect wood for yourself please consider dropping some off at the rectory.

to watch the sunrise or the sunset,
and fully absorb the miracle of light and life.

THIS SUNDAY 8th May
THE PASTORAL VISIT of
The Right Reverend Kay Goldsworthy
Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland. Holy Trinity Yarram 10.30am Service of Holy Communion with Reception into the Anglican Church of four candidates by Bishop Kay. Bishop Kay will preach and preside. Morning Tea will be held in the parish hall.
 
News from Parish Council
