SEPTEMBER THE MONTH OF HOSPITALITY
Invitation is the first step in offering hospitality. Our diocesan vision is; ‘to grow in Christ, into the fullness of human life and invite others to go with us on the journey.’ It all starts with an invitation. The month of hospitality is designed to offer opportunities for us to invite people to church, to events run by the church and to invite people to share our homes and our table. As a parish we have created a few events to help this to happen but we would also encourage everyone to take this opportunity to invite people to share the joy of fellowship with you in whatever way seems most appropriate and accessible.
Sunday 3rd September 12.30pm – soup at the Rectory

How many jerry cans can we fill this year? .Any donation is welcome; rivets, tools, windsocks, all help keep the planes in the air. During August we will have a retiring collection for M.A.F. on the Mission table. Can you help?

FEEDBACK SOUGHT – the parish council would appreciate your feedback regarding the future development of Holy Trinity. For some time there has been talk of a new fellowship centre (hall) and senior housing on the site of the current hall. NO decisions have been made. However, we would like to move forward and establish a vision/plan for the future.
If units were built what features would you like?
Some areas for discussion are: one bedroom or two, privacy, car parking, gardens, would you move in, should we proceed?
100 years ago our forebears were having similar conversations about the future and the result is the current worship centre at Holy Trinity.

MISSION NEWS
A colourful poster has arrived from the Bible Society featuring people and partnerships around the world, as representatives from many nations meet in Sydney to share in the most significant event in our Bible Society calendar-the Roundtable  Exchange. This will be part of the celebrations of  200 years of Bible Society work around the world and your donations have helped so many people to own a Bible, THANK YOU. There are still so many people who haven't heard God's word or don't have access to the printed scriptures. Can we give a donation to help  spread the Word? Last year, with your help, the Bible Society movement undertook more than 800 projects which are likely to reach over 500 million people with God's word, BUT, more than 500 projects didn't go ahead because the money ran out. Do have a look at the poster, I'm sure you will find it of interest.

PEW SHEET 11th June 2017

TRINITY SUNDAY – The feast of the Holy Trinity was not proscribed as an official celebration of The Church until 1334. In a sense, every celebration of the Eucharist could be considered a festival of the Trinity because the whole Trinity is at work in every moment of creation, redemption and sanctification. However, Trinity Sunday does provide a particular day in the liturgical calendar to reflect on the revelation of God’s self as Trinity, what some have called the triune God. We are particularly attached to the festival of the Holy Trinity because our Yarram church bears the name Holy Trinity. As the centenary of Holy Trinity, Yarram edges ever closer the Parish Council plan to honour the past, celebrate the present and plan for the future. We hope to gather a small group of people to coordinate the preparation of historical material, a memorabilia exhibition, and the events to mark the occasion.

In 2018 we have already set the following dates:

Sunday 4th February foundation stone commemoration

Sunday 9th September parish luncheon
