Mission Aviation Fellowship is a Christian organisation whose mission is to use light aircraft and technology to bring help, hope and healing to some of the most isolated communities in the world. They might bring in medical supplies, or Bibles, or take out produce to market that will inject income into a community. They might bring in a visiting nurse or airlift a sick person in need of emergency medical attention.

This Father’s Day we are invited to help by buying a $50.00 Jerry Can of fuel. A 20 litre jerry can of fuel can save a life.

Let’s get out there and cheer on the riders as they arrive in town on Friday 5th September about 3.30pm. Riders will travel along Old Carrajung Rd, Cherry Tree Rd and Balloong Rd on their way to Wharf Street Port Albert. Track cycling stars Scott Sunderland (Team Scody Downunder) and Alex Edmondson (SASI) will take part in next week’s Lakes Oil Tour of Gippsland, fresh from winning gold in Glasgow last month.

Selecting our next Bishop of Gippsland
What are the qualities you would like to see in our next bishop?  Representatives from our parish attended the Regional Consultation last Sunday. Now it’s your turn to have a say using this internet survey

Prayer for The Appointments Board -

Continue to pray for those charged with discerning the candidate for the position of Bishop in our Diocese:

Lay people: David Chambers; John Delzoppo; Marian Dewar; Robert Fordham; Val Jones; and Jo Sestokis.

Clergy:     Graeme Knott; Greg McGee; Barb Logan; Heather Marten; Philip Muston; Lyn Williams.

Eternal God, shepherd and guide,

in your mercy give your Church in this diocese of Gippsland a shepherd after your own heart

who will walk in your ways, and with loving care watch over your people.

Give us a leader of vision and a teacher of your truth.

So may your Church be built up and your name glorified;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
