The Harvest Festival

Sunday 19th March  10.30am Holy Trinity Yarram The Right Reverend Kay Goldsworthy Bishop of Gippsland will preach and officiate followed by a barbeque in the grounds and hall. Please bring any home grown or homemade produce to decorate the church and for trading table to swap or purchase.

Refreshment Sunday 19th March 9.00am at St John’s


Bishop Kay will preside and bless our Traditional Simnel Cake. Morning Tea following the service.

13th April Maundy Thursday, 6.00pm a commemoration of Jesus’ washing the disciple’s feet and a fellowship meal to include Holy Communion at Holy Trinity Hall, Yarram
14th April Good Friday, 11.00am Combined Churches Ecumenical Service at Christ Church, Tarraville followed by morning tea at The Historic Tarraville School House
15th April Holy Saturday, 8.00pm Lighting of the New Fire and Renewal of Baptismal Vows at St John’s, Port Albert
16th April Easter Sunday, 9.00am St John’s, Port Albert and 10.30am Holy Trinity, Yarram

Lenten Studies Week 3 Living Water for the World This year’s study will be Up from the Waters Reflections for Lent Year A by Fr Tony Chiera and Dr Jason McFarland. You may move between these two groups or pop in for an occasional session as both groups are keeping the same schedule of sessions.

AffinityCollective - Mee Na Lojewski and Nicholas Waters will entertain us with popular chamber music.
Mee Na and Nicholas are the recent winners of the Australian National Academy of Music Chamber Music Competition.
Tickets $20 each available from Rev Jo 
Welcome drinks at 5.30, concert 6.00pm.
 
 

YOU ARE INVITIED TO CELEBRATE SHROVE TUESDAY at the Rectory 6.00pm Tuesday 9th February.
Includes a meal of savoury and sweet pancakes, burning of palm crosses and preparation of incense nails for our Pascal Candle
Please add your name to the list in the foyer at Holy Trinity if planning to attend.
Ash Wednesday 10th February will be marked by a simple service at Holy Trinity 10.30am or 6.30pm. These two services will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.
Parish Council meeting 10th February 4.00pm Ash Wednesday at the Rectory; councillors may wish to stay on for the Ash Wednesday service at 6.30pm. If you have any matters you would like to bring to the councils attention you could write a letter or have a chat to our councillors.

175th ANNIVERSARY OF PORT ALBERT commences Friday 12th February with an official opening as part of Warren Curry’s exhibition 6.00pm at the small hall in Victoria St. Port Albert. A full program of 175th celebration events will appear soon in the Yarram Standard and at the Port Albert Post Office.
 
The Reaffirmation of Wedding Vows Saturday 14th February 2.30pm at St John’s Port Albert. Fun, Romance and the opportunity for everyone present to enjoy St Valentine’s Day. Five couples will officially reaffirm their vows but we can all be part of it. Afternoon tea to follow in the church yard
 
Blessing of the Fleet Sunday 21st February 11.00am at the Slip Jetty Port Albert. Including a sail past by the Wooden Boat Club. There will also be a vintage car show at Rutter Park. Lots of fun at the port!
Because of this special time there will be one service of Holy Communion in the parish Sunday 21st February at Holy Trinity 5.00pm.
